Jeffrey E. Gewirtz was admitted to the Georgia State Bar in 2001 and the Louisiana State Bar in 2003; he is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; the Georgia Supreme Court; the Georgia Court of Appeals; Louisiana Supreme Court, and has been admitted to United States District Courts including the Northern District of Georgia, Eastern District of Louisiana, and the Eastern District of New York.

W. Todd Johnson is an experience trial attorney with multiple record verdicts. In 1998, Mr. Johnson was admitted to the Georgia State Bar; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; the Georgia Supreme Court; the Georgia Court of Appeals; and the U.S. District Court; Northern District of Georgia.

Ms. Leibu received her Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law, where she served as the Digital Editor of the NYU Law Environmental Law Journal. She also served as a legal clerk for the Department of Justice Eastern District of New York, as well as with the New York Attorney General in the Environmental Protection Bureau. Prior to working with Eric J. Hertz, P.C., Ms. Leibu served as a legal clerk for the Mobile Sources Division of the Environmental Protection Agency, located in their headquarters in Washington, D.C. She speaks four languages due to her multicultural background.

Alex Hertz has worked at Eric J. Hertz, P.C. since 2021. Mr. Hertz graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law. Mr. Hertz is a hardworking and diligent person who cares deeply about the firm's clients. Mr. Hertz is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and in all of Georgia’s Superior, State, Magistrate, and Probate courts.

Alex S. Hertz is licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia.

Dean Monaster, originally from California, attended Oklahoma State University for undergraduate studies. He graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law receiving his Juris Doctorate degree. During law school, Mr. Monaster was a research assistant, studying constitutional law. Mr. Monaster is a dedicated scholar and cares deeply about the representation of clients. Mr. Monaster is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and in all of Georgia’s Superior, State, Magistrate, and Probate courts.

Richard Hamilton is a dedicated legal professional and proud graduate of Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, Class of 2025. Originally from Leesburg, Florida, Richard brings 13 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Navy, where he served aboard submarines including the USS ALASKA (SSBN 732) (Blue Crew), and the USS GREENEVILLE (SSN 772) and achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Known for his tenacious leadership and compassionate advocacy, Richard is committed to delivering steadfast representation and support to his clients.

Joshua J. Hertz received a double major in B.A. from the University of South Carolina in 1997 and earned his J.D. in 2001 from St. Thomas Law School in Miami, Florida. He started his law firm directly out of law school, concentrating in the field of personal injury as a trial lawyer. He was the past president of the Young Lawyers Division of the Dade County Bar, 2009-2012, and is currently the founder and chair of the Solo and Small Firm Committee for the Dade County Bar.

Steven P. Combs brings three decades of diverse experience with him in his Of Counsel role with the firm. He has not only been an advocate across various areas of the law, but he has also been a teacher of the law, a legal advisor to the Court, a decision-maker on the bench, and a participant in the shaping of the procedural rules of the Florida courts.

Mr. Combs is licensed to practice law in Florida.

Johnna Hutton is a senior paralegal and has over 17 years of paralegal experience. In 2009, she joined the law firm of Eric J. Hertz, P.C where she provides litigation support to our attorneys and is also actively involved in the office administration. She earned her Paralegal Certification from the University of Georgia. Johnna enjoys all aspects of legal work but especially loves having the ability to help others. She loves to spend time with her husband and 2 daughters. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and volunteering in her local community and church.

Kim Hewlett joined the firm in July of 2017. She has extensive experience in nursing home abuse and neglect litigation. She works alongside the attorneys at Eric J. Hertz P.C. to provide superior service to our clients. Kim is devoted to helping others and serving her community. She currently resides in Bethlehem, with her husband, Joe. They have a son and two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and participating in various outdoor activities.

Nardelys Alvarez is a paralegal with over 13 years of experience. She earned her paralegal certification from the University of Miami in 2007. She joined our team to assist in toxic tort matters. Her motivation to work hard is her family and passion to travel. She is married with three children.

Jasmine joined our team in 2021, as a receptionist. She quickly developed strong rapport with clients due to her bright and sunny personality and thoughtfulness. Since that time, her role within the firm has increased to include a wide variety of administrative functions. In her personal life, Jasmine loves children and animals. She volunteers weekly to give those in need of a little dose of sunshine.

Stephanie Branam works as a legal assistant and graphic designer for Eric J. Hertz P.C. She is a recent graduate with a BFA from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Stephanie is dedicated and committed to expedite tasks and advance the firm's objectives.

Leon Branam is a senior level executive with over 25 years experience in the financial and legal industries working with firms ranging from Fortune 500 companies, to start ups, and boutique firms. He has held positions and gained expertise in sales, operations, management and marketing. Mr. Branam excels at growing businesses, relationship building and networking. Having worked for both law firms and litigation service providers, he is uniquely qualified to identify needs and provide value added solutions.

Consuela Hertz has been a part of Eric J. Hertz P.C. for many years. She has a Bachelor’s in English, Master’s in Speech Communication, Master’s in Library Science, and a Paralegal Certification. Consuela is very organized and focused on keeping the firm running smoothly.

Originally from Brooklyn, NY and now proudly based in Roswell, GA, Ms. Howe supports Hertz Law with document review, discovery, technical analysis, and trial preparation. Her work spans the full spectrum of litigation support—from examining complex documents and evidence to interpreting scientific and compliance-related concepts. Ms. Howe brings a unique blend of forensic science expertise, litigation support, client advocacy, and leadership to every case she's involved with.

Peter Tran is a graduate of Yale University Class of 2025 with a B.A. in Anthropology. After interning for the firm in 2021, he has returned to offer his talents in the pursuit of justice. A native of Atlanta, he is excited to work with and learn from such a talented and dedicated team of lawyers. In his free time, he enjoys writing poetry.
